How will your team start each morning?
We understand how difficult it can be in preparing for a short-term mission trip. Planning is
everything. We also know how easy it is to get caught up in all the logistics. If you are not
careful, you will have a very well planned trip, but miss reason why you and your team are going.
Many leaders leading todays trips are not pastors. They are like you and me: lay-leaders
stepping out for the first time to follow God's calling. Preparing mini sermons or relevant
devotions can be a very overwhelming task. Also, we have heard many teams say they are to
busy to have devotions. After all, all day we are doing God's work. We believe that daily
devotions is a major influence on your team's attitudes and performance while on the mission
field.
The purpose for the Key Tag Kits are to provide simple daily devotion with a tangible reminder
for that day and that mission trip. The kits are used by your team every morning and begin each
day with one daily thought or "key". This will be the focus for that day. On each key there is key
word and on the opposite side a Bible verse reinforcing the key for that day. In the evenings, we
recommend a mini-debrief to discuss how the team members saw the key displayed during the
day. These devotions are designed to last 10-15 minutes in the morning. Many teams
complete them after breakfast. The debrief can be done over dinner or in smaller groups
depending on your teams energy for that day.
